Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trent Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Gaszcz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dawid Gaszcz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaszcz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Gaszcz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wilkins walks away with a smile on his face. Gaszcz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wilkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilkins wants it to stay on the feet.

Wilkins is trying to maintain a safe position but Gaszcz gets an underhook and turns Wilkins into the cage.

Wilkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gaszcz to the mat! Gaszcz manages to get full guard.

Wilkins tries to hold on but Gaszcz pushes him away.

Gaszcz goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wilkins turns into him and now he's in Gaszcz's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Trent Wilkins will probably get the nod.

Gaszcz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Wilkins is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Gaszcz is pressed up against the cage. Wilkins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gaszcz down to the mat. Gaszcz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wilkins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gaszcz as he jumps to the side.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Trent Wilkins.
I think Wilkins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
