Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Sendoh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Ives (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akira Sendoh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russell Ives! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sendoh throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sendoh tries to clinch up but Ives circles away and keeps his distance. Sendoh's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sendoh duly obliges.
It looks like Russell Ives has been cut. Ives throws a hook to the side of Sendoh's head but Sendoh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ives avoids the body shot from Sendoh.
Sendoh misses with a wild body shot. Sendoh scores with a hook. Sendoh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ives manages to avoid it. Ives moves into range and clinches up with Sendoh. Sendoh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A nice combination there by Sendoh.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ives throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ives defending well as Sendoh loads up on a big left hand. Sendoh lands a left and a right that send Ives crashing to the mat, dazed. Sendoh thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Ives swings widly with a right hand
and Sendoh counters with a straight right hand.
Ives is rocked! Ives lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ives is still on wobbly legs! Can Sendoh finish him? Sendoh moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Sendoh ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Ives out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Akira Sendoh! Akira Sendoh decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
