Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wendell Gallagher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wendell Gallagher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Mann! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gallagher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mann was covering up waiting for the punch and Gallagher finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mann wants to stand and escape but Gallagher is having none of it. Gallagher slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gallagher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mann had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gallagher defends it easily. Gallagher postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mann is wriggling around but Gallagher manages to pass to half guard.
Mann manages to escape and get back to his feet! Mann doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gallagher counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Mann misses with a takedown attempt and Gallagher counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mann looks winded! Mann looking to slow down the pace here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gallagher gets a trip takedown into half guard. Mann wants to get back to full guard but Gallagher has mounted him! Gallagher won't let Mann get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Mann really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Gallagher takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! BOOM! Gallagher connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gallagher looking to finish Mann with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mann! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mann prevents Gallagher from taking his back. Mann wants to control but Gallagher is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gallagher looking to control and managing it successfully. Gallagher with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mann is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wendell Gallagher dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mann blocks a head kick by Gallagher.
Mann misses with a takedown attempt and Gallagher counters with a head kick. Mann fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gallagher avoids it really well and circles away. Gallagher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mann, pushing him back against the cage. Gallagher turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gallagher laying and praying for a moment but Mann takes advantage and regains half guard. Gallagher is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mann has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mann throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Gallagher not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gallagher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Mann wants to control but Gallagher is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gallagher wants to take a breather but Mann is having none of it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Mann wants to get back to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Wendell Gallagher just wasn't active enough. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gallagher. Mann looks to score with a jab to the body but Gallagher is just out of range. Mann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gallagher sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mann somewhat. Wendell Gallagher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Mann. Mann is breathing heavily. Mann doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gallagher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mann won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mann wants to control but Gallagher postures up. Gallagher working the ground and pound. Mann tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Gallagher lands strikes to the head. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Gallagher.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gallagher lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Gallagher.
I really don't envy Mann right now.
Gallagher is landing with strikes from the back. Mann controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Gallagher is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Gallagher gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Gallagher gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Gallagher apologises and we restart here on the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gallagher scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wendell Gallagher dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gallagher looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mann is trying to control but Gallagher passes into side control!
Mann is trying to improve his position. Gallagher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Mann takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gallagher working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gallagher working the head and body with strikes. Mann is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gallagher asserts his dominance and retains side control. Gallagher working the strikes but Mann uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mann is defending against the submission attempts here by Gallagher.
Mann makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mann. Mann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mann is on top in guard.
Gallagher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mann has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gallagher is proving hard to escape from. Gallagher looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mann passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gallagher is defending against the submission attempts here by Mann.
Gallagher is concentrating on defense, preventing Mann from advancing position. Gallagher actively working from the bottom here. Gallagher gets full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wendell Gallagher. Well Gallagher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
