Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jason Taylor has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jason Taylor seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mirko Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic thows a body shot but no joy.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Taylor.
Taylor has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Taylor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Filipovic on his heels. He'll look to pass Filipovic's guard now, I'm sure.
Taylor is stalling in the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Filipovic has control of Taylor's left arm, preventing Taylor from doing any damage.
Taylor won't allow Filipovic to sweep him here.
Taylor's corner is telling him to maintain position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Filipovic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Filipovic.
Filipovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Filipovic misses with a two punch combination.
Taylor throws a head kick that misses.
Taylor shoots in and gets a takedown into Filipovic's guard.
Taylor looking to pass the guard.
Taylor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Filipovic is trying to control Taylor's posture but Taylor avoids it.
Taylor working the ground and pound but Filipovic is defending the strikes.
Taylor in side control, throwing shots but Filipovic defends.
Taylor looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Filipovic, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Taylor throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Taylor is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Filipovic looks calm but he's in trouble here. Taylor gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Filipovic is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Taylor lets go of the hold and Filipovic can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jason Taylor!
