Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heimo Laakkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewie Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin connects with a leg kick. Laakkonen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Laakkonen takes a swing at Griffin's ribcage but misses.
Laakkonen looks to land a left hand but Griffin moved out of range nicely.
Laakkonen throws a body punch but Griffin moves out of range.
Laakkonen misses with a looping right.
Laakkonen misses with a body shot.
Laakkonen swings for the body but Griffin moves out of range.
Laakkonen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Griffin.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Griffin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Laakkonen lands a jab to Griffin's midsection.
Griffin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Laakkonen cracks Griffin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Laakkonen drops Griffin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Griffin looks back up at him and smiles so Laakkonen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Griffin is rocked!
It looks like Stewie Griffin has been cut.
Griffin switches off momentarily and Laakkonen cracks him with a monster right hand! Griffin topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Laakkonen dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Laakkonen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Heimo Laakkonen!
