Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Les Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Thorpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul comes to the cage accompanied by Hell & Back. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Les Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Thorpe! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thorpe misses with a double jab.
Paul tries to bum rush Thorpe with a series of wild strikes but Thorpe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Paul throws a jab but it's blocked by Thorpe. Thorpe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paul. Paul connects with a crisp jab. Paul moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Thorpe moves out of range as Paul throws a body kick.
A combination from Paul does no damage. Thorpe misses with a double jab.
A slow jab from Paul misses its intended target. Thorpe lands a nice shot that snaps Paul's head back.
Paul tries to clinch up. Paul scores with a body shot.
Thorpe scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Paul lands a jab. Thorpe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thorpe blocks a jab. Paul closes the distance and clinches. Paul can't get the takedown.
Paul throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Paul wants a takedown but no success here.
Paul keeps control of Thorpe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Thorpe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Paul is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Thorpe circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jab from Thorpe. Paul ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thorpe moves away. Thorpe takes one to the chin there. Paul closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thorpe quickly recovers to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paul stalling. Paul has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paul is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Paul is working for a kimura but Thorpe is defending it quite comfortably.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Paul is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Thorpe is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Les Paul! Les Paul took some time post fight to say the following; 'Thank you first off to god he gives me strength. My fans who keep me going.'.
