Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Prickly Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zoo Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Prickly Pete! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zoo Lynn! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pete fails with a takedown attempt. Pete misses with a head kick.
Pete shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lynn but Lynn pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice sprawl there from Lynn as Pete shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Prickly Pete. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pete wants to clinch up but Lynn keeps it at a distance. Lynn scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lynn is looking to take a break and control but Pete is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lynn throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Pete's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pete is looking for a sweep. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Pete tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lynn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lynn trying to control the action but Pete is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lynn scores with a jab. Pete doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lynn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lynn. Pete jumps guard but Lynn stands there with Pete around his waist. Pete gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lynn is pressed up against the cage. Pete has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lynn down to the mat. Lynn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pete is breathing heavily. Pete misses with a takedown attempt and Lynn counters with a nice body kick.
Lynn pushes Pete up against the cage in a clinch. Pete tries to land a knee to the head but Lynn blocks with his arms.
Lynn comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Lynn avoiding damage.
Lynn manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Pete wants to control from the top but Lynn keeps moving. Pete is fighting to break Lynn's control of his arms but Lynn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Lynn wants to stand up but Pete is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynn managing to control the position. Lynn throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Lynn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lynn wants to take a breather but Pete is having none of it. Lynn is thwarting Pete's attempts to control the position. Lynn is taking a breather. Pete says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pete is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Lynn wants to pass the guard but Pete is defending well. Lynn not doing much here.
Lynn not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zoo Lynn dominated that round. That's time! Pete's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lynn clinches up with Pete and pushes him back against the cage. Pete manages to pull guard.
Pete looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lynn is one step ahead there. Lynn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pete is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lynn sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynn wants to control from the top but Pete keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynn stays in close to Pete's body and controls the position. Pete throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Lynn tries to free his leg and advance position but Pete is retaining full guard. Pete keeping moving, preventing Lynn from controlling successfully. Lynn is breathing heavily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Pete has his takedown stuffed and Lynn counters with a shoot takedown. Pete fights it but they end up in guard. Lynn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pete has his foot on Lynn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lynn works his way back into a safe position though. Lynn trying to control but Pete is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynn throwing strikes from guard but Pete blocks nicely. Pete has a closed guard, preventing Lynn from standing up. Lynn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pete swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lynn is one step ahead there.

Lynn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pete just stands there and leans against the cage. Pete prevents the takedown attempt.
Prickly Pete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zoo Lynn. Pete has had enough of the clinch but Lynn keeps him there for the moment. Pete tries to stall but Lynn uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Lynn manages to break the clinch.
Lynn throws a combination. Pete tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pete lands a two punch combo.
Pete darts in trying to clinch and Lynn counters with a takedown into side control. Lynn in side control lands a decent elbow. Lynn landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Lynn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pete. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pete tries to buck Lynn off but Lynn is having none of it. Pete gets back to half guard. Pete wants to control but Lynn is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zoo Lynn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Pete's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Pete is really struggling to control Lynn but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lynn chips away with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lynn has closed the distance and engaged Pete in a clinch.
Pete breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lynn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Still in half guard, Lynn seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynn wants to control but Pete is keeping him busy. Lynn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Pete trying to control but Lynn postures up.
Pete is trying to get back to full guard. Pete has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lynn is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete is trying to get back to full guard. Pete trying to control from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lynn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lynn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pete knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lynn content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lynn is looking to take a break and control but Pete is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Zoo Lynn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lynn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
