The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howe tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Howe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steve sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Derick Steve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steve throws a leg kick but Howe sees it coming and moves out of range.
Steve feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Howe's calf.
Howe circles away from the clinch attempt
and Howe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steve thinking.
Howe on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Steve fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Howe.
Steve looks to land a combination but Howe avoids it well.
Steve fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Howe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Steve blocks a head kick by Howe.
A slapping leg kick lands for Steve.
Steve moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steve connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Steve throws a nice outside leg kick.

A solid leg kick lands there for Steve.
Howe fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Steve lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Oh Howe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Howe sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Steve wants to clinch up but Howe keeps it at a distance.
