Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leo Howe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Derick Steve! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howe tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Howe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steve sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Derick Steve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steve throws a leg kick but Howe sees it coming and moves out of range. Steve feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Howe's calf. Howe circles away from the clinch attempt and Howe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steve thinking. Howe on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Steve fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Howe. Steve looks to land a combination but Howe avoids it well. Steve fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Howe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Steve blocks a head kick by Howe.
A slapping leg kick lands for Steve.
Steve moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steve connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Steve throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Steve.
Howe fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Steve throws a nice outside leg kick. Howe is breathing heavily. Steve lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Leo Howe has been cut. Steve chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Howe is rocked! Steve throws a right and a left that both miss. Oh Howe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Howe sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Steve wants to clinch up but Howe keeps it at a distance. Steve gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Steve lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Howe to his knees! Steve keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derick Steve! Derick Steve bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
