Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Myron Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Amarillo!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amarillo clinches up against the cage.

Dean is fighting off a takedown attempt but Amarillo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dean to the mat. Dean regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Amarillo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dean managing to control the position.
Dean preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dean utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Amarillo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Amarillo is fighting to break Dean's control of his arms but Dean is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Myron Dean has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Amarillo throws a series of punches but Dean moves out of range.
Dean is looking to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Amarillo clinches with his opponent.
Amarillo pushes Dean back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Amarillo lands an elbow just above Dean 's eye.


It looks like Myron Dean has been cut.

Amarillo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dean regains guard.
Dean preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Amarillo throws a strike but Dean rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Amarillo wriggles free and stands up.

Amarillo rushes Dean and presses him up against the cage.
Amarillo keeps control of Dean as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dean jumps guard but Amarillo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Amarillo has Dean pressed against the cage, preventing Dean from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dean working hard to break the clinch.
Dean is trying to break free.
A short right from Amarillo on the inside.
Dean is looking for a takedown.
Amarillo gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Amarillo lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dean backwards.


Dean is rocked!


Myron Dean's cut is getting worse.
Amarillo unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Dean! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Amarillo is unloading with more strikes now! Dean drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miguel Amarillo!
Miguel Amarillo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
