Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Stranne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Stranne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nathan Rook! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rook feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Strannes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rook lands a jab to Stranne's midsection. Stranne lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rook takes a step back to recover. Rook rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stranne moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stranne lands a nice looking body kick. Rook has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stranne. Rook moves out of range as Stranne throws a body kick.
Rook takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rook looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nathan Rook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rook throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rook misses with a few strikes there.
Stranne takes a shot right to the bread basket. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stranne misses with a kick to the body.
Rook is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rook jabs at Stranne's body. Stranne has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rook takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Stranne looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rook misses with a combination
and Stranne counters with a low kick, right behind Rook 's knee. Stranne scoring well with a low kick there.
Stranne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rook scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stranne doesn't seem bothered though. Rook lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stranne circles away quickly and effectively. A head kick misses from Stranne. Rook will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rook swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stranne counters with a nice kick to the body. Stranne moves away from the strike by Rook. Rook moves out of range of the body kick from Stranne.
Rook scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Rook feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Strannes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Stranne delivers a nice body kick. Stranne thuds his shin into the meat of Rook's side. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rook walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stranne.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rook takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Stranne - that will leave a mark!
Stranne misses with a looping right. Rook throws a right hand that Stranne ducks under and follows up with a left that Stranne also avoids with ease. Rook just misses with a punch to the body.
Rook misses the body punch and Stranne counters with a low kick, right behind Rook 's knee. Rook looks winded! Stranne connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rook momentarily.
Rook takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Stranne buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stranne throws a quick inside leg kick. Rook takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nice defenses there by Stranne. Rook has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Stranne. Stranne throws a head kick that half lands.
Rook throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Stranne throws the left hand but Rook avoids the punch easily. Stranne plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rook is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stranne rather than just go for the knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rook connects with a combination that backs up Stranne into the cage. Rook lands a flurry of punches that gets past Stranne's guard. Stranne is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Rook bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Rook! Nathan Rook decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
