Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Gago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Gago is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Igor Gago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chael Sonnen! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sonnen doesn't manage to clinch there - Gago circles away.
Gago shoots in looking for a takedown but Sonnen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gago's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gago clinches. Gago using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sonnen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
A right hook to the body lands for Gago.
Our sources have told us that Gago has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Nice elbow from Gago.
It looks like Chael Sonnen has been cut. Gago is defending well against a takedown attempt. Gago scores with a nice hook to the head. Gago prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gago misses with a knee strike.

Sonnen has Gago pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gago manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Igor Gago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen. Sonnen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gago pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gago instigates a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gago lands a right hand. Gago lands a left hand.
A short right from Gago. Gago gets through Sonnen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Sonnen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gago lands a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gago manages to break the clinch.
Gago misses with an uppercut. Gago stuffs the takedown attempt from Sonnen. Sonnen gets slowly back to his feet. Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but Gago shows good takedown defense. Sonnen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sonnen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gago avoids it really well and circles away. Sonnen tries to move into range but Gago moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sonnen moves out of range as Gago strikes. Sonnen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Gago manages to get to full guard.
Gago has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sonnen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sonnen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sonnen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gago swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sonnen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gago has his foot on Sonnen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sonnen works his way back into a safe position though. Sonnen is in close to Gago's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sonnen trying to control but Gago is working from the bottom. Sonnen is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gago has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sonnen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sonnen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sonnen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gago has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sonnen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gago has tightened it up now! Sonnen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Igor Gago! Igor Gago tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
