Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eli Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adem Sharp!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong shoots in for a takedown but Sharp shows good takedown defense.

Sharp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sharp seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sharp's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wong looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Sharp seems content to control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adem Sharp hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sharp bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sharp controlling the position.
A control attempt from Wong but he's now mounted!
Sharp tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sharp stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sharp is defended easily by Wong.

Wong is looking to stand up but Sharp isn't so interested in that idea.
Wong could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wong wants to sweep here but Sharp controlling him for the moment.
Wong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Wong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sharp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sharp seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Adem Sharp wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sharp looks for the body kick but Wong saw that one coming.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Wong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sharp looks to land a body kick but Wong moved away.
Wong shoots in for a takedown but Sharp shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A head kick misses from Sharp.

Sharp moves into the clinch successfully.
Wong tries to pull guard but Sharp won't allow it.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Wong.

Sharp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sharp's waist but Sharp gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wong off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Wong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sharp misses with a kick to the body.

and Wong counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wong enables Sharp to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sharp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sharp misses with a body shot.
Wong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sharp.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wong is defended easily by Sharp.

Wong gets caught flat footed, as Sharp shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sharp is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Wong is trying to keep Sharp in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eli Wong wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sharp shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wong sprawls well. Wong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sharp gets slowly back to his feet.

And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Adem Sharp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Sharp shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sharp content to control rather than advance.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sharp. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Wong wants to get back to full guard.

Sharp looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adem Sharp hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sharp looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Wong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sharp stuffs the takedown.

Sharp closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wong to the mat! Wong manages to get full guard.
Wong tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sharp controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Adem Sharp has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sharp has a takedown stuffed.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wong tries to sprawl but Sharp drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sharp passes into side control, despite Wong's attempt to control the position.
Wong trying to remain calm as Sharp controls from the top position.
Let's hope that Sharp has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Sharp prevents Wong from escaping the position.

Sharp is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wong has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sharp just content to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Adem Sharp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sharp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
