Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Carolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carolla might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gotta Get It On from Taboo 2. John Kramer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Adam Carolla's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
47 - 43 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Carolla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Kramer! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carolla has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kramer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Carolla has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Carolla is trying to break the clinch but Kramer is controlling him. Kramer stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Carolla has picked Kramer up - he's going for a ride! Carolla dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. It looks like Carolla is going to stand back up.
Carolla controlling the action here. Kramer felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carolla is looking to take a break and control but Kramer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Adam Carolla wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Carolla connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice shot by Kramer.
It looks like Adam Carolla has been cut. Kramer defending well as Carolla loads up on a big left hand. Carolla displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kramer. Adam Carolla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kramer. Kramer throws a series of punches but Carolla moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kramer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Carolla has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carolla tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kramer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kramer trying to control the position but Carolla is working away. Kramer wants to take a breather but Carolla manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Kramer. Carolla pulls Kramer in close to prevent any damage. Kramer is looking to work some ground and pound but Carolla has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kramer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Carolla keeping moving, preventing Kramer from controlling successfully. Kramer looking to pass the guard. Kramer looking to sit in guard and control but Carolla gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carolla's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Adam Carolla. Carolla lands with a hook. Kramer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kramer staying out of range there. Carolla fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carolla stuns Kramer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kramer slips under a jab. Carolla jabs Kramer to the body, keeping him at a distance. Carolla tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kramer was well out of range. Poor timing from Carolla. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kramer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kramer takes one to the chin there. This has been an exciting period of action! Carolla closes the distance and clinches. Carolla wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kramer has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Adam Carolla will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Adam Carolla's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kramer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Carolla closes the distance and pushes Kramer back into the cage. Carolla is trying to break the clinch but Kramer has him pressed against the cage. Kramer keeps control of Carolla as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Carolla working hard to break the clinch. Kramer tries to pull guard but Carolla forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Kramer gets control of Carolla's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kramer will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kramer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kramer has a closed guard, preventing Carolla from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kramer pulls Carolla in close to prevent any damage. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kramer tries to move into range but Carolla moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Carolla is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Carolla throws the left hand but Kramer avoids the punch easily. Kramer digs a good hook to Carolla's body.
A head kick misses from Kramer. Kramer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kramer tries to clinch up but Carolla circles away and keeps his distance. Carolla slaps away a takedown attempt from Kramer, before circling back to the center of the mat. John Kramer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Carolla misses its intended target. Kramer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. That's going to take a lot out of John Kramer. Kramer misses with a head kick.
Carolla lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kramer will feel that in the morning. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carolla with a hook. Carolla cracks Kramer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Carolla here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Carolla tests Kramer's chin there with a solid looking shot. Carolla throws a nice head kick!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carolla connects with a body shot that sends Kramer's belly button to the back. Carolla lands a jab-cross combination. Carolla slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Carolla scores with a punch to the head. Kramer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carolla swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kramer slips a jab and a cross from Carolla.
Carolla tries to land a front kick but Kramer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Carolla swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kramer. Carolla throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kramer takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Carolla jabs at Kramer's body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big right from Carolla misses. Carolla has closed the distance and engaged Kramer in a clinch.
Kramer wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carolla breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kramer shoots for a double leg takedown but Carolla sprawls well. He's pushed Kramer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carolla goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Carolla connects with a high kick. Carolla scores with a jab. Kramer acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kramer gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Carolla misses with a wild combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kramer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Carolla bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carolla scores with a decent looking hook. Carolla getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kramer shoots in and bounces Carolla off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kramer throws an elbow that misses. Carolla uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kramer's guard. Nice move by Carolla! Carolla pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kramer is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carolla is looking to stand up but Kramer won't let him. Kramer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Adam Carolla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carolla forces Kramer back against the cage and clinches. Kramer pulls guard effortlessly.

Adam Carolla is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kramer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kramer tries to free his leg and advance position but Carolla is retaining full guard. Kramer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Carolla utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kramer throws a big elbow that misses. Kramer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kramer wants to control from the top but Carolla keeps moving. Kramer tries to free his leg and advance position but Carolla is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kramer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kramer sitting in guard here, content to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kramer closes the distance and clinches up with Carolla, looking for a takedown. Kramer pushes Carolla against the cage but Carolla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carolla scores with a jab to the body. Carolla lands with a straight right. Kramer didn't see that one coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carolla takes the fight into the clinch. Carolla has had enough of the clinch but Kramer keeps him there for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Carolla. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carolla, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
