Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Shimazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Urutaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, William Shimazu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kai Urutaka! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urutaka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Urutaka scores with a decent looking hook. Urutaka closes the distance and clinches. Shimazu misses with the head strike.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Shimazu lands with a right to the head. Shimazu creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Urutaka is looking to control Shimazu's arms but Shimazu gets an underhook and turns him. Now Urutaka has his back to the cage. Urutaka lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Shimazu misses with a hook from the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Shimazu working aggressively here.
Urutaka using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Shimazu has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
A short uppercut from Shimazu. Shimazu is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Urutaka is defending well for now. Urutaka lands a hook that snaps the head of Shimazu backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Urutaka can't find room to land a body shot as Shimazu controls the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shimazu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Shimazu scores with a nice hook to the head. Urutaka wants to get back to striking at distance but Shimazu won't allow it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Urutaka looking to stall.
Shimazu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Shimazu lands a hook to the side of the head. Urutaka is trying to break the clinch but Shimazu has him pressed against the cage. Urutaka stalling in the clinch but Shimazu improves position. Shimazu is leaning against Urutaka and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Shimazu lands a knee to the body.
Urutaka looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knees in the clinch landing for Shimazu.
Shimazu is working Urutaka over against the cage. Shimazu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Urutaka backwards. Urutaka's coach down at Kamehameha Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Urutaka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Shimazu crunches a lovely knee into Urutaka's ribcage. Shimazu is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. A nice left hand lands by Shimazu.

Urutaka is rocked! Shimazu lands a nice uppercut. Urutaka is still on wobbly legs! Can Shimazu finish him? Shimazu lands an elbow inside that Urutaka shrugs off. Shimazu lands a big knee to the head and Urutaka goes down! Shimazu pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Shimazu! An out of breath and clearly excited William Shimazu thanked Conquer for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
