The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fire dives in and grabs Sakuragi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sakuragi pushes down on Fire's head and hops out.

No joy there for Sakuragi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fire takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Nice takedown defense from Sakuragi. No joy for Fire on that attempt.
Tim Sakuragi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rowen Fire.
Sakuragi thuds a left hand into Fire's body.
Sakuragi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Fire on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sakuragi throws a series of punches but Fire avoids them all with ease.
Sakuragi tries to bum rush Fire with a series of wild strikes but Fire uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sakuragi lands a left and a right that send Fire crashing to the mat, dazed. Sakuragi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Fire is rocked!
Fire glances at the clock... BAM! Sakuragi nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Fire crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Fire is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tim Sakuragi!
Tim Sakuragi decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
