Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexlamar Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clay Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexlamar Powell!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bean really is a fat lump.
Bean avoids a punch combination nicely.

Powell lands a big head kick that sends Bean tumbling to the mat! Powell takes a step backwards and waves Bean back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Clay Bean has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Powell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bean's half guard.

Powell is working for a kimura but Bean is defending it quite comfortably.
Powell tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bean knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bean wants to get back to his feet.

Bean is not content to let Powell control the position.
Bean pushes Powell off looking to stand but Powell dives back in and keeps control.
Powell trying to control from half guard but Bean is working away.
Bean wants to control but Powell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Powell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bean does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Alexlamar Powell has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Powell gets the takedown into side control.
Bean is not content to let Powell control the position.

Bean is trying to buck Powell off.
Powell is looking to take a break and control but Bean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bean parries the strikes from Powell easily there. Powell is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bean to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Powell decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Powell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Powell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bean is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Powell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bean has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bean wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Powell is looking to take a break and control but Bean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexlamar Powell dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Clay Bean's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bean tries to close the distance and clinch but Powell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Alexlamar Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Powell both land. Nice combination.
Bean swats away the attempt to clinch by Powell.

Bean gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Alexlamar Powell has got the better of the ground game so far.
Powell trying to control but Bean is working from the bottom.

Powell tries to stand but Bean is controlling from the bottom.
Powell prevents Bean from getting back to his feet.
Powell throws a strike but Bean rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Powell is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bean is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Powell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bean puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Powell is pressing down on Bean's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bean postures up in Powell's guard and throws a big left but Powell blocks it.

Powell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bean doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bean manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Powell manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bean is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Bean tries to hold on but Powell pushes him away.

Powell stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Powell throws a nice head kick!
Powell tries to clinch there but Bean circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bean closes the distance but Powell moves to the side
and Bean takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Clay Bean's cut is getting worse.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bean wants to clinch
and Powell finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Powell.
Bean pushes Powell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Powell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Powell in side control, just content to control the action for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexlamar Powell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Bean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Powell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bean!
Powell trying to control the position but Bean is working away.
Sloppy strikes there by Powell.
Powell sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bean is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Powell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bean is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Powell is controlling him well.
Powell misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Powell tries to score with some ground and pound. Bean controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powell postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bean is pushing Powell's head away, looking to escape. Powell manages to hold on to the position though.

Powell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bean managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Powell.

Powell stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Powell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bean tries to clinch up.
Bean takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Powell pushes Bean up against the cage in a clinch.
Powell trying to control the position but instead, Bean has worked for underhooks and has pushed Powell into the cage.

Powell gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Powell stops Bean from standing up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Powell trying to control the position from guard on top but Bean is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bean haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Alexlamar Powell has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bean has taken the fight to the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Powell is trying to trip Bean. He has hold of a leg but Bean is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Powell persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Clay Bean has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alexlamar Powell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Powell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bean wants to stand up but Powell is controlling him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alexlamar Powell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Powell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
