Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Serget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serget has chosen Friends in lower places as his entrance music. Bunny Anstey is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

With a record of 19 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Serget!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey misses with a kick to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Anstey darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Anstey scores with a crisp jab that stopped Serget in his tracks.


It looks like Bob Serget has been cut.
Anstey goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Anstey fails with a takedown attempt.
A slow jab from Anstey misses its intended target.
A jab from Anstey misses.
Serget shoots in for a takedown but Anstey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Serget leaves Anstey with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Anstey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anstey missing with a left hand there. Serget was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Anstey looks to throw the jab but Serget is out of range.
A clash of legs there as Serget blocks the low kick.

Anstey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anstey throws a series of punches but Serget moves out of range.
Anstey throws a leg kick but Serget sees it coming and moves out of range.

Anstey connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Anstey lands a lovely overhand right.
No joy there for Anstey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anstey throws out a loose jab but Serget uses good head movement to avoid it.

Serget keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Serget ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd cheers as Anstey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Serget doesn't seem phased though.

and Serget counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Serget.
Anstey is pulling down on Serget's head to control his posture.
Serget sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Anstey has his hands on Serget's head, controlling the position.

Anstey keeping moving, preventing Serget from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Anstey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anstey misses with a looping right.
Anstey throws a hook to the side of Serget's head but Serget sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Serget manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Anstey on his heels. He'll look to pass Anstey's guard now, I'm sure.
Serget is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Anstey trying to keep a closed guard but Serget is proving a slippery customer.

Let's hope that Serget has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Anstey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Serget sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Anstey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Serget.
Anstey darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Serget moves out of range as Anstey throws a body kick.
Anstey misses with the combination.
Crunch! Anstey slams his shin into Serget's torso.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Anstey is looking to slow Serget down with leg kicks.
Anstey stuns Serget with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Anstey lands with a slapping head kick.
Anstey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Serget avoids it really well and circles away.
Serget keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Anstey listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


That has opened up Bob Serget's cut even more.
Anstey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Serget pushes Anstey up against the cage in a clinch.
Anstey lands with a light punch inside.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Anstey tries a body shot but Serget blocks it.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Anstey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Serget is looking to clinch but Anstey is avoiding it.
Serget on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Anstey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Anstey's jab looks to have found its range, popping Serget under the eye.

Serget bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Anstey wants to control but Serget postures up.
Serget in side control, throwing shots but Anstey defends.
Anstey is looking to reverse the position.
Anstey gets back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Serget throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Anstey here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Anstey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Serget's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Serget's back!
Serget is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Anstey off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Anstey thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Anstey lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Anstey.
Anstey throws strikes from the back but Serget rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Serget.
Serget keeping moving, preventing Anstey from controlling successfully.
Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anstey throws a strike but Serget rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Anstey has his hands on Serget's head, controlling the position.

Anstey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Serget is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anstey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Serget tries to reverse the position but Anstey maintains control.

Anstey sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Poor strikes thrown by Anstey there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Serget is looking to get to half guard.
Bunny Anstey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Serget trying desperately to get to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Serget wants to hold on but Anstey pushes him away.

Serget bucks Anstey off and manages to get back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Anstey throws the left hand but Serget avoids the punch easily.
Anstey misses with a looping right.
Serget keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Serget shoots in looking for a takedown but Anstey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Serget's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Donk. Anstey catches Serget right on the button with a cross.


The cut above Bob Serget's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Serget blocks a leg kick.
Serget shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anstey but Anstey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck for Serget with that takedown attempt.
Bunny Anstey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Serget.
Serget takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

A telegraphed right hand from Anstey misses the target.
Anstey throws a jab when Serget was well out of range.

The fighters circling - Anstey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Anstey scores with the left hand. Serget knows he should have avoided that one.
Serget takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Serget wants to clinch up but Anstey keeps it at a distance.
Bunny Anstey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anstey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anstey scores with a decent looking hook.
Serget gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Anstey.


Bob Serget's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Serget gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Serget tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anstey defends well and Serget ends up having to push Anstey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Serget keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Anstey's efforts to push away.
Serget tries to score a body lock takedown but Anstey shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A right hook to the body lands for Anstey.
Serget takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Anstey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Serget ducks right into an uppercut from Anstey.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bob Serget's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bunny Anstey!
Bunny Anstey is the new heavyweight champion!
Bunny Anstey decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
