Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boyd Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherk comes to the cage accompanied by Hells Bells. Lowe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by millon dollar driver. Boyd Lowe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Sherk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boyd Lowe! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherk is looking to clinch but Lowe is avoiding it.
Lowe moves into the clinch. Sherk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lowe has him pressed against the cage. Sherk tries to circle away but Lowe has him pinned against the cage. Sherk working some nice short punches in the clinch. Sherk lands with a left to the head. Lowe manages to break the clinch.
Lowe closes the distance and clinches up with Sherk, looking for a takedown. Lowe pushes Sherk against the cage but Sherk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lowe moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sherk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lowe paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lowe instigates a clinch. Lowe breaks the clinch.
Lowe moves into range and clinches up with Sherk. Sherk keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lowe's efforts to push away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherk misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sherk breaks the clinch.
Sherk slips a jab from Lowe. Sloppy strikes from Sherk. Those never looked like landing. Sherk is breathing heavily. Lowe shoots for a double leg takedown but Sherk sprawls well. He's pushed Lowe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lowe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sherk goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lowe can't get the takedown.
Stan Sherk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boyd Lowe. Sherk lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sherk misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sherk tries to break free but Lowe pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherk softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lowe goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sherk prevents it.
Lowe is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Sherk tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lowe's elbow. Lowe misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sherk wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lowe is working Sherk over against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lowe lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Lowe jumps into guard, dragging Sherk to the mat.
Sherk decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lowe, up you get! Sherk seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Lowe has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lowe tries to score a body lock takedown but Sherk shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sherk wants to break free but Lowe has control.

Sherk is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lowe prevents Sherk from breaking the clinch. Lowe turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lowe manages to end up in side control. Sherk on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sherk tries to get out of the position. Sherk trying to remain calm as Lowe controls from the top position. Lowe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sherk, who protects the arm well. This has been an exciting period of action! Lowe is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sherk looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lowe gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sherk is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lowe lets go of the hold and Sherk can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Boyd Lowe! Boyd Lowe took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview. The defeated Stan Sherk had this to say: 'I went out and tried my hardest, but apparently I have more work to do.'.
