Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Blaylock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilya Murometz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaylock comes to the cage accompanied by Head Like a Hole. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ilya Murometz was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Dirk Blaylock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ilya Murometz! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaylock swings for the body but Murometz moves out of range.
Murometz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Blaylock lunges at Murometz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Murometz's hand. Blaylock thuds a left hand into Murometz's body. Blaylock misses with a wild combination.
Blaylock lands a jab to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blaylock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Murometz throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Murometz takes a swing at Blaylock's ribcage but misses. Blaylock misses with a body shot.
Blaylock throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Murometz to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Dirk Blaylock has been cut. Blaylock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murometz manages to avoid it. Blaylock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murometz was well out of range. Poor timing from Blaylock. Blaylock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blaylock lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Murometz at a distance.
Murometz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaylock loads up on a big right hand but Murometz slips the punch. Blaylock misses with a straight left. Murometz avoids the body shot from Blaylock.
Blaylock swings for the body but Murometz moves out of range.
Blaylock throws an off balance right hand
and Murometz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Murometz clinches up with Blaylock and pushes him back against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Murometz.
Blaylock struggles to land a body shot inside as Murometz controls his hands.
Blaylock tries to land a knee to the head but Murometz blocks with his arms.
Blaylock lands with a short head shot on the inside. Murometz is looking to break free of the clinch but Blaylock has double underhooks. A head punch blocked on the inside by Murometz. Murometz struggles to land a body shot inside as Blaylock controls his hands.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Blaylock creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murometz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been hearing reports that Blaylock has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Blaylock lands with a right hand. Blaylock connects with a good right hand that stumbles Murometz. Murometz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murometz throws the left hand but Blaylock avoids the punch easily. A left and a right from Blaylock both land. Nice combination.
Murometz is rocked! Blaylock works Murometz's body with a nice hook. Murometz is still on wobbly legs! Can Blaylock finish him? Blaylock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murometz moves away. Murometz seems to have recovered his senses. Blaylock swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blaylock circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Murometz to the canvas! Murometz doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Blaylock keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dirk Blaylock! A less than humble Dirk Blaylock misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
