The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kozlov clinches up against the cage. Kozlov blocking some punches.
A frustrated look appears on Yamato's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kozlov stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Yamato wants to break free but Kozlov has control.
Kozlov lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Jin Yamato has been cut. Yamato tries to stall but Kozlov uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A shot in the inside from Kozlov. Kozlov lands a nice elbow. Our sources have told us that Yamato has been working on his elbows in the gym. Kozlov lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Kozlov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Yamato looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Aleksandr Kozlov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kozlov scores with a jab.
Jin Yamato's cut is getting worse. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A swing and a miss from Kozlov. We've been informed that Kozlov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Yamato misses with a body kick. Yamato misses with a low kick. BOOM! Kozlov lands a beautiful left hook that drops Yamato. Yamato tries to recover but Kozlov is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Yamato lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
