Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Bradley Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Raul Maccino!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maccino lands with a nice combination. Burns backs away looking to recover.
Maccino looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Burns shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maccino but Maccino pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Burns fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Maccino. No joy for Burns on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eugene Bradley Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burns shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Burns throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Burns is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Burns throws a nice looking combination but Maccino bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Burns scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Burns wants to clinch.
Raul Maccino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Maccino does no damage.
Burns stalks Maccino and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maccino's face. Maccino staggers backwards, shaken.
Burns avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns clinches.
Burns is trying to trip Maccino. He has hold of a leg but Maccino is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Burns persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Burns postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Burns pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Maccino is keeping the position for now.
Maccino is looking to stand up but Burns isn't so interested in that idea.
Burns looking to sit in guard and control but Maccino gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Maccino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Burns not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burns tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Burns is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Burns working for a triangle but Maccino defends it easily.
Burns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maccino's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burns drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Burns seems to have locked his on tight now - Maccino screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Burns, as he picks up the win!
