Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ruanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Ruanti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Nelson! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nelson there as he acknowledges the shot. Ruanti throws a sloppy head kick and Nelson moves out of range easily. Nelson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice takedown defense from Ruanti. No joy for Nelson on that attempt. Nelson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nelson takes a kick to the side of the head. No joy there for Ruanti, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ruanti lands with a nice combination. Nelson backs away looking to recover. Ruanti stuffs the takedown. Ruanti pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nelson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ruanti pinned against the cage. Ruanti gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Daniel Ruanti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Nelson. Nelson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ruanti sprawls well. He's pushed Nelson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruanti tests Nelson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ruanti throws a combination. Nelson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Ruanti scores with a push kick. Ruanti scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ruanti works over Nelson's head and body with a nice combination. Nelson tries for a takedown but Ruanti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nelson scores with a takedown into Ruanti's guard. Ruanti tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ruanti looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nelson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nelson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nelson looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nelson postures up in Ruanti's guard and throws a big left but Ruanti blocks it. Nelson connects with a couple of short punches. Nelson prevents Ruanti from getting back to his feet. Nelson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Nelson looking to pass the guard. Ruanti has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nelson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nelson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ruanti lands a head kick. Nelson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. A thudding body kick lands there by Ruanti!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruanti fails in his attempt to clinch. Ruanti lands a nice looking kick to the body. Nelson takes a step back to recover. Ruanti keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ruanti lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nelson's sensitive parts. Ruanti connects with a single shot there. Nelson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nice body kick from Ruanti. Nelson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Nelson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Nelson postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson passes Ruanti's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruanti is looking to escape. Nelson uses his free foot to push down on Ruanti's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ruanti. Nelson raining down shots from the mount! Nelson scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Ruanti?
A nice elbow there by Nelson. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nelson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Nelson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ruanti is surviving well by controlling Nelson's body position as best he can. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ruanti wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Ruanti will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ruanti looks to throw the jab but Nelson is out of range. Charlie Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nelson fails with the takedown. Nelson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Daniel Ruanti is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ruanti lands a nice looking kick to the body. Nelson takes a step back to recover. Nelson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ruanti pinned against the cage. Ruanti gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Daniel Ruanti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Nelson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruanti lands a two punch combo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

He's got his arms around Ruanti's waist but Ruanti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nelson off to one side. Ruanti throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nelson. Ruanti tries to bum rush Nelson with a series of wild strikes but Nelson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ruanti throws a quick inside leg kick. Good exchange - Ruanti coming out on top. Nelson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ruanti throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nelson. Nelson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ruanti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ruanti is trying to buck Nelson off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson working the ground and pound from side control. Ruanti gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Nelson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ruanti looks a forlorn figure.
Nelson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ruanti is surviving well by controlling Nelson's body position as best he can. Ruanti wants to try and get back to his feet. Ruanti is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Nelson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ruanti is forced to tap!
