Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Captain Kat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 7 - 3, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaakko Kolloo!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kat throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Captain Kat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kolloo lands a leg kick that knocks Kat off balance momentarily.
Kat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kat throws a lazy head kick
and Kolloo counters with a nice leg kick.
Kolloo throws a sloppy head kick and Kat moves out of range easily.
Kat chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kolloo can pounce on him.
Kat takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That kick from Kolloo tenderised Kat's leg. Kat is trying to keep his angry face on.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kat crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kolloo - the referee stops the clock and Kat gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kolloo. Kat manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Oh Kat is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kat steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kolloo. That one must have hurt.

Jaakko Kolloo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Kolloo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kats jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kat seems to have got his legs back now.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kat drops his guard momentarily, allowing Kolloo to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Kat! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Kolloo takes it!
