Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Carey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Third One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clifton Carey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Third One!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Francis DeMontford and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carey lands in his opponent's guard.

One is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
One really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
One working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carey.
Carey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
One wants to sweep here but Carey controlling him for the moment.

One closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carey quickly recovers to half guard.

Carey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Carey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
One is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Carey scores with a couple of nice shots.

Carey is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Carey lands with a punch from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Carey is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
One avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carey.

Carey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and One defends it well.
One is looking to improve his position.
One looks winded!

Carey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Carey lands strikes from half guard.
Carey lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Carey seems to be looking for submissions.
One is looking to escape.
Carey scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Carey working One over with strikes.
Carey content to control rather than advance.

Carey is trying to work for a kimura but One is defending well.

Carey is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so One is just riding it out for now. Carey eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carey seems to be looking for submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Carey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed One's head.
One wants to improve his position but Carey is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clifton Carey dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



One scores with a takedown into Carey's guard.
Carey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Carey has his feet on One's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

One fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carey to the ground. One is now in Carey's guard.
Carey controlling the position.

Carey is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
One tries to stall but Carey uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Carey looking to throw knees to the head but One is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Carey is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but One is defending well.

One wants to break free but Carey has control.

One has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Carey is trying to keep an underhook but One manages to get the takedown into half guard.
One missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

One is working for a kimura here but Carey manages to reverse the position and he's now in One's guard.
One is breathing heavily.
Carey scoring with punches to the head and body.
Carey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Carey is looking to work some ground and pound but One has wrist control.

One looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
One working a defensive guard here.
Carey landing with the ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carey connects with a couple of short punches.
Carey is in close to One's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Carey drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Carey as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! One screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Carey! Nice submission victory there!
