Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saracen Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Saracen Smith! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Andrews has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Smith avoids the body shot from Andrews.
Andrews tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Smith lands with a straight right. Andrews didn't see that one coming. Smith has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Andrews avoids the head kick by Smith.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith tries to escape but Andrews is in control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrews tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and Andrews ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Andrews lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Smith is looking to control Andrews's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smith avoid being mounted? Andrews is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well. Andrews seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Smith is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
