The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown moves in looking to clinch but Parsons pushes him off.

and Parsons counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brown's guard now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Parsons controlling from the top position.
Parsons passes Brown's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Parsons sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brown defending well though.
Parsons thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brown's head.
Parsons has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Parsons lands a nice short elbow.

Parsons looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brown with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Parsons in particular looking to stall.
Brown looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parsons is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Parsons takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Parsons working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Parsons seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brown is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
