The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe tries to bum rush Alverez with a series of wild strikes but Alverez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alverez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Alverez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Monroe throws a looping overhand right but Alverez ducks down to avoid it.
Monroe lands with a right that hurts Alverez. Alverez looks to clinch but Monroe throws a short knee that drops Alverez. This one is all over!
