Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Cronos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Perrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cronos comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Helio Perrera was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Helio Perrera! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cronos tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cronos misses with a head kick.
Cronos misses with a looping right. Perrera throws out a leg kick but Cronos moves out of range and Perrera only half commits. Cronos throws a lazy right hand but Perrera sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Cronos tests Perrera's chin there with a solid looking shot. Perrera checks a leg kick nicely. Cronos stalks Perrera and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Perrera's face. Perrera staggers backwards, shaken. Cronos throws a series of punches but Perrera avoids them all with ease. Cronos looks to land a right hand but Perrera moved out of range. Cronos lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Perrera throws a leg kick but Cronos sees it coming and moves out of range. Cronos lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Helio Perrera has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Perrera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cronos as he jumps to the side. Cronos throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Cronos stuffs the takedown attempt from Perrera. Perrera gets slowly back to his feet. Perrera is trying desperately to land a takedown but Cronos is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Perrera. Perrera ducks under a wild hook from Cronos. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Perrera might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Cronos has got the better of the exchanges. Cronos lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Perrera shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cronos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Perrera trying to control the position from guard on top but Cronos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perrera connects with a nice short shot to Cronos's temple. Cronos is refusing to be controlled, as Perrera sits in half guard. Cronos actively working from the bottom here. Cronos gets full guard.

Perrera had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cronos defends it easily. Perrera keeping moving, preventing Cronos from controlling successfully. Cronos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Perrera manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cronos has Perrera in his guard. Perrera is working Cronos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jose Cronos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
