Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Boesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marat Tandelov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jonny Boesh has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonny Boesh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marat Tandelov! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tandelov looks for a takedown but Boesh sprawls well. Boesh misses with a series of wild punches.

Boesh throws a lazy right hand but Tandelov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Boesh seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Tandelov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Tandelov throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Boesh to regain full guard. Tandelov looking to sit in guard and control but Boesh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tandelov wants to improve his position but instead Boesh has moved into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boesh wants to stand but Tandelov has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Boesh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tandelov is looking for a sweep. Boesh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Boesh is looking to advance position but Tandelov won't allow it. Tandelov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boesh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boesh's back! Tandelov just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

I really don't envy Boesh right now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tandelov punches Boesh on the ear. Tandelov really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Boesh. Boesh trying to control the action but Tandelov just sinks the hooks in. Tandelov is punishing Boesh with some ground and pound. Tandelov has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Boesh. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tandelov lands with a hammerfist to the side of Boesh's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boesh tries to escape the position.
Boesh is covering up but some of the strikes from Tandelov are getting through and doing damage.

Tandelov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boesh sprawls well. Boesh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tandelov gets slowly back to his feet. Boesh bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Boesh moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Boesh slaps away a takedown attempt from Tandelov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Boesh throws a sloppy head kick and Tandelov moves out of range easily. Marat Tandelov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tandelov is looking to score with low kicks. Tandelov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boesh lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boesh. Boesh scores with a hook to the body. Tandelov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. He can't get it on this occasion though. Tandelov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boesh after a bit of a struggle.

Tandelov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boesh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tandelov scrambles back to his feet. A head kick misses from Boesh. Boesh misses with a straight left. Tandelov throws a low kick but Boesh moves out of range easily. Boesh misses with a head kick.
