The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbs clinches with his opponent.
Pento jumps guard and drags Hobbs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pento wants to stand but Hobbs is controlling the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pento wants to get back to his feet but Hobbs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hobbs's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pento can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pento wants to get back to his feet but Hobbs passes into half guard.
Hobbs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hobbs looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Pento tries to kick Hobbs off but Hobbs keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hobbs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hobbs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Hobbs content to control rather than advance.
Pento is trying to stand.
Hobbs slips a nice elbow through Pento's hands, connecting with Pento's forehead.
Hobbs is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Pento is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
