Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Hammarskjold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammarskjold comes to the cage accompanied by Rasmus på luffen - Luffarvisan. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meyer throws out a leg kick but Hammarskjold moves out of range and Meyer only half commits.
Meyer lands a head kick. Hammarskjold smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Hammarskjold swings wildly with an uppercut but Meyer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Meyer throws a punch but it's blocked by Hammarskjold.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been hearing reports that Hammarskjold has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Meyer is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hammarskjold is keeping busy.

Meyer is pressed up against the cage. Hammarskjold has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Meyer down to the mat. Meyer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kurt Meyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammarskjold closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hammarskjold is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Meyer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hammarskjold.

That has opened up Kurt Meyer's cut even more.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hammarskjold is looking for a kimura but Meyer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hammarskjold to get the leverage.

Hammarskjold wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meyer keeps working.
Meyer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Meyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammarskjold can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hammarskjold is working Meyer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kurt Meyer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kurt Meyer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Alfred Hammarskjold bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
