Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruben Cameron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Derick Steve!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron tries to clinch but Steve is having none of it.
Steve dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cameron. That did some damage!
Derick Steve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steve tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Steve gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Steve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steve misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cameron.
Steve looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cameron on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Steve chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Steve feints and then cracks Cameron's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cameron down.
Cameron throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Steve jabs at Cameron's body.

Steve moves into range and clinches up with Cameron.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cameron is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Steve is defending well.
Cameron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cameron landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Steve is trying to force a seperation but Cameron has the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Steve breaks from the clinch.
Steve throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Ruben Cameron has been cut.
Cameron steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Steve. That one must have hurt.

Cameron has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cameron tries to work over Steve's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Steve fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Steve tries to pull guard but Cameron holds him up against the cage and eventually Steve drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Steve's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cameron tries to stall but Steve uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Steve escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A chopping leg kick lands by Steve.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Steve moves into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Steve's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A solid leg kick lands there for Steve.
Steve connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Steve throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


Cameron is rocked!
Cameron loses concentration momentarily and Steve pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Cameron crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Steve finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Derick Steve!
Derick Steve was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
