I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Michael Taylor was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.

Taylor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Taylor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.
Taylor has his hands on Jones's head, controlling the position.
Taylor keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Taylor keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Taylor holds on and takes a little breather.
Jones wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.

Taylor pushes Jones off and gets back to his feet.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Taylor sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frankie Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taylor fails with the takedown

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Taylor didn't expect that.
Jones won't allow Taylor to sweep him here.
Taylor pulls Jones in close to his closed guard and prevents Jones from doing any damage or advancing position.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jones wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones is really struggling to control Taylor but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Taylor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Taylor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Taylor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Taylor is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jones has his hands clasped together but Taylor extends an breaks Jones's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Taylor.
