Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Colonel Angus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guss Steel!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Steel's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Angus won't allow Steel to sweep him here.
Angus is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Steel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Steel has escaped and now he's on top!

Steel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Angus's head.
Angus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Steel postures up and lands a big shot to Angus's brow.
Steel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Steel trying to control but Angus is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Angus works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Steel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel throws a strike but Angus rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Steel wants to get back to his feet but Angus is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Angus looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Steel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Angus tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Angus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Guss Steel wasn't active enough on the ground.
Steel thows a body shot but no joy.
Angus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Steel keeping full guard, as Angus tries to pass.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Angus with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Angus tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard.

Angus drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Steel dives on top into guard.
Angus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Steel is aware though and is defending well.
Steel throws a big right hand that misses.
Steel working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Steel is in close to Angus's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Angus controls Steel momentarily but Steel frees himself.

Steel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Angus is keeping the position for now.
Steel sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Angus doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Steel paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Angus - great work!
