Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Captain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Berzins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Captain comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Jack!. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Captain throws a sloppy head kick
and Berzins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Captain circles away from the clinch attempt
and Captain counters with a low kick, right behind Berzins 's knee.
Berzins tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Captain counters with a nice low kick that buckles Berzins's knee momentarily.
Captain throws a front kick that sends Berzins stumbling back into the cage.
Some bone on bone action there as Berzins checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Berzins has managed to clinch.
Berzins manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Captain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Berzins.
Captain throws a low kick, looking for Berzins's leg but Berzins calmly moves out of range.
Berzins shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Good leg kick by Captain there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fight stays on the outside here - Berzins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Berzins's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Captain wants to get back to striking at distance but Berzins won't allow it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Captain gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Berzins.
Berzins is trying to pull guard but Captain turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Berzins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Captain feints and then cracks Berzins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Berzins down.

The fighters circle, before Captain throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Berzins's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Captain lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

The Captain decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
