And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Ramirez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Smith has eaten all the pies!
Ramirez throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ramirez, right into the meat.
Ramirez drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Ramirez is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Ramirez breaks the clinch.
Ramirez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ramirez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramirez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramirez has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.
Smith is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ramirez frees his head nicely. Oh but Smith has switched to an armbar! Ramirez is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

A relieved looking Chris Smith thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
