The key to victory for Augustus Belmont has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belmont looks to land a combination but Rin avoids it well.
Belmont lands a glancing blow to the side of Rin's head.
Belmont dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Belmont dips to his left and cracks Rin with an uppercut!
Belmont fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rin manages to avoid it.

Rin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Belmont is trying to defend but Rin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rin wants to work for an arm triangle but Belmont is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Belmont is doing well to control the position and prevent Rin from advancing to side control.

Rin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Belmont's waist but Belmont gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rin off to one side.

Belmont uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rin.
Belmont avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Belmont.
Rin misses with an uppercut.
Belmont throws a looping overhand right but Rin ducks down to avoid it.
Rin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Belmont does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Rin throws a hook to the side of Belmont's head but Belmont sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Belmont throws a lazy right hand but Rin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Belmont as he jumps to the side.

Belmont circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Belmont tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rin throws a low kick but Belmont avoids it.
Belmont bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Belmont thuds his shin into the meat of Rin's side.
Rin scores with a nice strike.

Belmont stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Belmont here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Rin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Belmont!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belmont tries to escape but Rin is in control.
Rin is looking to take a break and control but Belmont is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rin tries to move to mount but Belmont blocks the move with his legs.
