PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Keiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Boudreau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keiser comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Boudreau has chosen Miracle - We Ain't Scared as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxwell Keiser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chance Boudreau !
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keiser changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boudreau tries to avoid it but Keiser manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boudreau to the ground. Boudreau escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boudreau misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Keiser.
Boudreau slips a jab from Keiser.
Keiser definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Keiser tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boudreau paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boudreau throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Keiser stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Boudreau moves out of range of the body kick.
Keiser scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boudreau in his tracks.
Keiser throws a head kick but Boudreau moves out of range.
Keiser avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Keiser throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Boudreau counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Boudreau just misses with a punch to the body.
Keiser shoots in looking for a takedown. Boudreau tries to sprawl out of it but Keiser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boudreau manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boudreau swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Keiser changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boudreau looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boudreau has one of Keiser's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Boudreau is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Keiser is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boudreau knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Keiser trying to control the position but Boudreau is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Keiser goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Boudreau rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Keiser's guard! Nice work there by Boudreau !
Boudreau lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Boudreau is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keiser looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Keiser had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boudreau defends it easily.
Keiser looking to control.

Keiser seems keen to control Boudreau 's posture.

Boudreau 's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Maxwell Keiser just wasn't active enough.
Keiser fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Keiser tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boudreau swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxwell Keiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boudreau is looking to clinch.

Boudreau takes the fight into the clinch.
Boudreau is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Boudreau lands a nice elbow.
Boudreau is pressed up against the cage. Keiser has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boudreau down to the mat. Boudreau avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Keiser scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Good standup being displayed there by Boudreau as he connects with a hook.
Keiser misses the shot to the body.
Maxwell Keiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boudreau throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Keiser fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Maxwell Keiser will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Keiser keeps the fight on the outside.
Keiser throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boudreau .
Keiser tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Boudreau defends well and Keiser ends up having to push Boudreau into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Boudreau softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Keiser swings wildly with an uppercut but Boudreau uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boudreau is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Keiser throws a punch but it's blocked by Boudreau .
A right handed body shot lands from Boudreau .
Boudreau content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Boudreau is looking to control Keiser's arms but Keiser gets an underhook and turns him. Now Boudreau has his back to the cage.
Boudreau tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Keiser is trying to push Boudreau away but Boudreau has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Boudreau misses with the head strike.

Keiser is looking for a takedown.

Boudreau lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Keiser backwards.

Boudreau lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Keiser backwards.
Keiser has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Boudreau avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxwell Keiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keiser blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boudreau lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.


Keiser is rocked!
Boudreau has Keiser pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Keiser is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Boudreau - that's hurt Keiser badly! Oh, another knee lands and Keiser is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Keiser doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Chance Boudreau !
Our winner, Chance Boudreau , made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
