Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffrey Sarpong!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarpong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sarpong wants it to stay on the feet.
We've been hearing reports that Jaysimpson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jaysimpson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jaysimpson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sarpong as he jumps to the side.
Jaysimpson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sarpong's waist but Sarpong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jaysimpson off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Homer Jaysimpson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jaysimpson is looking to clinch.
A head kick from Sarpong lands but Jaysimpson takes it in his stride.
Jaysimpson moves into the clinch.
Jaysimpson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sarpong blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sarpong connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Jaysimpson goes down! Sarpong jumps into full mount looking to finish!
Jaysimpson is rocked!
It looks like Homer Jaysimpson has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sarpong jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jaysimpson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Oh Jaysimpson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sarpong throws an elbow but Jaysimpson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jaysimpson seems to have got his legs back now.
Sarpong is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jaysimpson is trying to escape and Sarpong transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jaysimpson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sarpong! Very nice indeed!
