Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bilbo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukacz Belmont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belmont has chosen Tupac ft Lil Mo - Niggaz Nature as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bilbo Baggins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lukacz Belmont!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baggins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Baggins misses with the combination.
Baggins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Belmont steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baggins.
Baggins misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Belmont counters with a leg kick.
Belmont leaves Baggins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Baggins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Belmont's guard.

Belmont is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

My spies in GreatWall MMA inform me that Belmont has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Belmont wants to stand but Baggins has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've been hearing good reports from Baggins's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Baggins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Baggins has his foot on Belmont's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belmont works his way back into a safe position though.

Baggins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belmont gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Belmont tries to free his leg and advance position but Baggins is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bilbo Baggins just wasn't active enough.
Baggins tries for a takedown but Belmont sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Baggins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Belmont can pounce on him.
Belmont comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Baggins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Belmont connects with a good right hand that stumbles Baggins. Baggins circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Baggins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Belmont momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Baggins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Belmont defends it nicely.
Baggins takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Belmont has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Baggins finds it's way round the side to connect with Belmont's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Lukacz Belmont will probably get the nod.

Belmont connects with a leg kick. Baggins looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Baggins throws a body punch but Belmont moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Baggins crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Belmont - the referee stops the clock and Baggins gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Belmont. Baggins manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Baggins throws a hook but Belmont avoids it easily.

Baggins shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bilbo Baggins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Belmont makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belmont.

Baggins connects with a couple of short punches.
Baggins works over Belmont with some ground and pound from guard.

Baggins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Belmont manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Baggins has Belmont in his guard.
Belmont not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Baggins isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Belmont stacks Baggins on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Belmont!

Baggins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Baggins shoots in looking for a takedown but Belmont manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baggins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bilbo Baggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belmont defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Baggins.

Baggins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Belmont tries to avoid it but Baggins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Belmont to the ground. Belmont escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Baggins throws out a loose jab but Belmont uses good head movement to avoid it.
Baggins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fighters circle momentarily. Belmont darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Bilbo Baggins has been cut.
Belmont stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Belmont wants it to stay on the feet.

Belmont throws a hook to the side of Baggins's head but Baggins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Belmont - that will leave a mark!

Baggins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Baggins throws a body shot but no joy.
A slow jab from Belmont misses its intended target.
Baggins misses with a double jab.
Belmont slaps away a takedown attempt from Baggins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Belmont's corner calls for a 1-2. Belmont obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Baggins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Belmont has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Belmont lands a big uppercut and Baggins crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Baggins looks OK. Belmont waves Baggins back to his feet!
Oh Baggins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Belmont throws a front kick that sends Baggins stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters circling a little - Belmont finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Belmont throws a quick inside leg kick.
Baggins seems to have got his legs back now.
Belmont closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Baggins! Belmont dives in looking to finish! Baggins is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lukacz Belmont!

A very excited looking Lukacz Belmont made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
