Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Tyson has chosen God save the Queen as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johan Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bo Tyson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machado scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Bo Tyson has been cut. Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Machado tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tyson stands up. Tyson connects with a nice looking jab.
Machado shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tyson is trying to defend but Machado finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Tyson kicks Machado off and gets back to his feet. Machado looks to land a combination but Tyson avoids it well. Tyson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machado circles away quickly and effectively. Bo Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tyson lands with a nice body punch. A telegraphed right hand from Machado misses the target. Tyson moves into range and clinches up with Machado.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machado's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Machado connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A telegraphed right hand from Tyson misses the target. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Machado tries to clinch but Tyson is having none of it. Tyson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Machado tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jab from Machado. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Machado throws a series of punches but Tyson moves out of range. Machado needs to keep his hands up - Tyson had a free shot at his head there. Machado throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tyson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Machado takes one to the side of the head.
Tyson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Machado doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Tyson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Machado looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tyson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Machado! Tyson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Silverback MMA Academy (Elite + Sauna & 160VM). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Machado is desperately trying to improve his position but Tyson has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machado is working hard here to advance position. We've been hearing good reports from Machado's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Tyson controlling his opponent. Machado tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tyson controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Machado sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado actively working from the bottom here. Machado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tyson content to control rather than advance. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Machado looking for submissions off his back. Machado looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Machado actively working from the bottom here. Tyson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Machado is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tyson pulls his head out easily. Machado is looking to improve his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tyson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Machado controls his leg. Machado is looking for a sweep. Tyson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johan Machado will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bo Tyson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tyson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Johan Machado has been cut. Machado has Tyson up against the cage in a clinch.
Machado tries to score a body lock takedown but Tyson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Machado drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tyson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Machado at a distance.
Machado is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Machado shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Machado takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Tyson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Machado stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Machado looks to throw the jab but Tyson is out of range. Machado will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Machado takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tyson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Machado eats them both and turns towards Tyson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Good standup being displayed there by Tyson as he connects with a hook. Tyson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Tyson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Machado's head backwards. Oooooh!!! Tyson has knocked Machado down with a huge combo! Tyson steps away and waves a wobbly Machado back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Machado is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson darts in and clinches Machado up against the cage. Oh Machado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Machado's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tyson rushes Machado with punches - Machado moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Machado goes down! Tyson follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bo Tyson! Bo Tyson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
