Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Monteban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Dicko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chico Dicko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monteban swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dicko throws an off balance right hand
and Monteban counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Monteban wants to control from the top but Dicko keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We've been hearing good reports from Monteban's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Monteban thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Monteban tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Monteban has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dicko lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Monteban has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Monteban and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dicko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Monteban paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dicko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
