Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Nitschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Septic Flesh - Pyramid God kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Damian Nitschke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Nitschke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Glenn Stroud! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stroud tries for a takedown but Nitschke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nitschke fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nitschke shoots in but Stroud avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stroud gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Stroud escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nitschke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stroud seems keen to control Nitschke's posture. Nitschke trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nitschke throws a big right hand that misses. Nitschke landing some decent shots from guard. Nitschke postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nitschke working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stroud's head. Stroud has his foot on Nitschke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nitschke works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nitschke is looking to work some ground and pound but Stroud has wrist control. Nitschke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nitschke trying to control but Stroud is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Nitschke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've been hearing that Nitschke has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Stroud looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nitschke scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Nitschke working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stroud's head. Nitschke postures up and lands a big shot to Stroud's brow. Nitschke avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stroud has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nitschke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nitschke stands and throws Stroud's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nitschke wants to control but Stroud is keeping him busy. Nitschke working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Nitschke lands a few punches from side control. Stroud prevents Nitschke from improving position. Nitschke scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stroud to see if he's OK. Stroud on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Stroud is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nitschke throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Stroud struggling a bit here. Nitschke working the ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stroud is looking for a sweep. Nitschke is looking to take a break and control but Stroud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stroud tries to buck Nitschke off but Nitschke is having none of it. Nitschke prevents Stroud from escaping the position. Stroud looking for a sweep but Nitschke has passed into full mount! Oh no! Stroud is in a horrible position here. Nitschke smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Stroud is rocked! Nitschke lands with some strikes. Stroud is still in real trouble! Can Nitschke finish him? Stroud wants to control but Nitschke is having none of it. Oooh a big shot lands for Nitschke! Stroud is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Damian Nitschke! Damian Nitschke very nearly forgot to thank BeastMode amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
