Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andon Dinev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes into the arena with Scotty Doesn't Know blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Esteban Scott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andon Dinev! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dinev jabbing away but nothing is landing. Scott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dinev can pounce on him.
Dinev throws a looping overhand right but Scott ducks down to avoid it. Scott on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Scott closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dinev quickly recovers to half guard. Scott frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Scott trying to control but Dinev is having none of it. Dinev is looking to improve his position but Scott isn't that keen on the idea. Scott looking to control and managing it successfully. Scott moves to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dinev knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dinev for a finish. Scott has the hooks in. Dinev is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. I would not like to be Dinev right now.
Scott is throwing shots to the body but Dinev manages to wriggle free. Scott pounces on him again and ends up in Dinev's guard. Dinev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Scott stays in close to Dinev's body and controls the position. Scott in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott advances position into side control! Scott creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Scott working the head with strikes. Scott trying to control the position but Dinev is working away. You can see the frustration on Dinev's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dinev prevents Scott from moving into mount. Dinev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Scott wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dinev's legs. Scott thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Scott trying to control the action but Dinev is working from the bottom. Scott working the ground and pound from side control. Scott is looking to take a break and control but Dinev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Scott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Scott tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dinev gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Scott wants to finish this one by submission but Dinev is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Scott. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scott fails to move to back control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Esteban Scott dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Scott shoots for a takedown but Dinev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dinev motions for Scott to come forward. Dinev throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Dinev throws a nice outside leg kick. Dinev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Scott trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Dinev manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Dinev wants to stand and escape but instead Scott has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Dinev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Scott looking to sit in guard and control but Dinev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dinev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Scott trying to control the position.
Scott working for submissions but it's allowed Dinev to get to half guard.
Dinev is keen to just control but Scott is a slippery customer. Dinev tries to stand but can't do so whilst Scott controls his leg. Dinev is thwarting Scott's attempts to control the position. Scott looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott wants to improve his position but Dinev is controlling well.
Dinev tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Scott. Scott moves into full guard.
Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Scott trying to keep a closed guard but Dinev is proving a slippery customer.
Scott is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Scott is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dinev is just riding it out for now. Scott eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dinev sees it coming and defends easily. Scott trying to pass the guard but Dinev defending well. Scott is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dinev wants to control but Scott is keeping busy and won't allow it. Scott wants to pass to mount but Dinev is defending the position. Scott is looking to stall here but Dinev recovers full guard. Esteban Scott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Scott showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scott stands and throws Dinev's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Esteban Scott dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Crunch! Scott slams his shin into Dinev's torso. Scott looks for a takedown but Dinev sprawls well. Dinev thows a leg kick but Scott checks it and Scott counters with a nice uppercut. Esteban Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott scores with a hook. Dinev thows a body shot but no joy. A jab from Scott misses. Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Scott takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Dinev throws a hook to the side of Scott's head but Scott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Scott throws a sloppy head kick and Dinev moves out of range easily. Scott takes a swing at Dinev's ribcage but misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A slow jab from Dinev misses its intended target. Dinev lands with a good body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dinev looks to land a left hand but Scott moved out of range nicely. Scott shoots in for a takedown but Dinev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Andon Dinev seems to be getting the better of the standup. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dinev lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scott has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scott and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Dinev misses with a low kick.
Dinev staying out of range there. Andon Dinev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice defenses there by Scott. A head kick misses from Scott. Scott needs to keep his hands up - Dinev had a free shot at his head there. Scott on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dinev digs a good body shot into Scott's ribs. Dinev lands a slapping body shot.
Scott motions for Dinev to come forward. Scott throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Scott shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dinev napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scott wants to control but Dinev is keeping him busy. Dinev manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Dinev is defending against the submission attempts here by Scott.
Dinev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Scott. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dinev trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott uses his free foot to push down on Dinev's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dinev. Scott takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Scott lands a nice shot to the head. Scott wants to control but instead Dinev manages to regain half guard. Scott thows a huge punch but Dinev dodges it nicely.

Scott missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Esteban Scott is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dinev is trying to maintain the position but Scott is very close to passing his half guard. Scott performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Scott has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Andon Dinev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scott's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Esteban Scott showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scott, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
