Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zbermat Serlal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Evurts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serlal comes into the arena with Mortal Kombat blaring out of the sound system. Evurts is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Welcome to the Jungle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zbermat Serlal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephan Evurts! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evurts slips a jab from Serlal. Evurts missing with a left hand there. Serlal was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Serlal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Evurts is trying to control the position but Serlal postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stephan Evurts. Evurts throws a right and a left that Serlal avoids nicely. Evurts misses with a hook. Serlal ducked under it nicely. Serlal misses with an uppercut. Serlal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Serlal moves out of range of the strikes. Serlal thows a body shot but no joy. Evurts has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Evurts dodges the punch combination from Serlal.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Serlal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evurts swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Serlal counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Evurts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Serlal. A combination from Evurts does no damage. A combination from Serlal does no damage. Evurts lunges at Serlal with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Serlal's hand. A telegraphed right hand from Evurts misses the target. Evurts thows a left - swing and a miss! Serlal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Evurts lands a nice hook to Serlal's body. Serlal takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Serlal tries for a takedown but Evurts circles away easily and Evurts counters with a lovely straight right hand! Serlal tests Evurts's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Serlal misses with a takedown attempt and Evurts counters with a one-two to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zbermat Serlal. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch lands to the side of Evurts 's head but he takes it in his stride. Stephan Evurts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Serlal scores with a jab. Serlal looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evurts throws a series of punches but Serlal moves out of range. Serlal closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Evurts to the mat! Evurts manages to get full guard. Evurts pulls Serlal in to control the position. Serlal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Serlal makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Evurts is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Serlal defends well. Evurts is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Serlal stands and throws Evurts's legs to the side, diving into side control. Serlal scores with punches from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Serlal throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Serlal looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Evurts is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serlal creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Serlal working the strikes but Evurts uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Serlal looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Serlal sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Evurts defending well though. Serlal tries to pass to full mount but Evurts defends it. Evurts is trying to control but can't.
Serlal passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A nice elbow there by Serlal. Serlal working the ground and pound effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Serlal raining down hammerfists from mount. Oooh a big shot lands for Serlal! Evurts is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
