And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Fernando!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris has taken the fight to the clinch.

Harris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Harris tightens his grip and picks Fernando up, before dumping him to the ground. Fernando manages to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fernando avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fernando is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fernando has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Harris is working Fernando over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Harris looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Harris stands up over Fernando, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Harris content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Harris with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fernando looking to sit in guard and control but Harris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Harris postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.


Fernando is rocked!
Harris arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Fernando's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Frank Harris!
A very excited looking Frank Harris made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
