Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blackbeard The Pirate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Face in the Sand kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from The Pirate enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. The Pirate manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Pirate is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones is looking for a kimura but The Pirate is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.

The Pirate feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blackbeard The Pirate has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

A very excited looking Blackbeard The Pirate rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
