The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brook shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McLeftout's guard. Brook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McLeftout swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brook really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brook's corner. There ya go! There ya go! McLeftout is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McLeftout escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brook gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McLeftout has his foot on Brook's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brook works his way back into a safe position though. Brook postures up.
Brook postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McLeftout wants to sweep but no luck. Brook thows a big elbow that misses. Brook loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brook postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brook drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McLeftout dives on top into guard. McLeftout wanted to stand there but Brook had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brook working for a triangle but McLeftout defends it easily.
McLeftout wants to control from the top but Brook keeps moving. Brook is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brook keeping moving, preventing McLeftout from controlling successfully. Brook has his foot on McLeftout's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McLeftout works his way back into a safe position though. McLeftout stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brook swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brook will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McLeftout looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Brook wants to improve his position but McLeftout is controlling well.
Brook looking for submissions off his back. Brook tries to get to full guard but McLeftout has control of the leg.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Brook shoots in for a double leg but McLeftout sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. McLeftout shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McLeftout was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! McLeftout lands a nice shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McLeftout can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brook is looking to escape. Brook has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Brook working to try and regain half guard.
McLeftout breaks from Brook's wrist control and lands an elbow. Brook is trying desperately to improve position. Brook throwing hammer fists to the chest of McLeftout. What's that going to do exactly? Brook really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
McLeftout blocks Brook's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Brook is trying desperately to improve position. McLeftout lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sunny Brook will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McLeftout is looking to clinch. Brook doesn't succeed with the takedown and McLeftout holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. McLeftout manages to break the clinch.
A jab lands there for McLeftout. McLeftout with a lazy takedown attempt and Brook counters with a nice double leg into side control. McLeftout won't be happy with that. McLeftout sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. McLeftout pushes Brook off looking to stand but Brook dives back in and keeps control.

McLeftout slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brook in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brook works a leg free and moves into half guard. Brook lands strikes from half guard. Brook sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McLeftout defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLeftout is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brook scores with a couple of nice shots. Brook is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, McLeftout has managed to free his arm - good work. McLeftout wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McLeftout doesn't have the hooks in and Brook manages to turn into his guard.

Brook distracts McLeftout with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Brook is pushing down on McLeftout's leg trying to pass to half guard. McLeftout is fighting to maintain full guard but Brook has managed to sneak the leg through. McLeftout wants to control but Brook is keeping busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brook connects with a nice short shot to McLeftout's temple. Brook wants to work for an arm triangle but McLeftout is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McLeftout regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Brook. McLeftout is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brook throws a big right hand that misses. Brook thows a big elbow that misses. Sunny Brook overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brook avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brook drops back looking for a leg! McLeftout is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McLeftout manages to kick Brook off! Brook jumps back into McLeftout's guard. Brook is working McLeftout over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McLeftout is looking to stand up but Brook isn't so interested in that idea.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McLeftout tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brook paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brook tries to clinch there but McLeftout circles away.
McLeftout gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Brook counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brook. Brook postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Brook lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Brook connects with a couple of short punches. Brook slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on McLeftout's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brook cracks McLeftout with a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sunny Brook dominated that second round. That's time! Brook's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
McLeftout lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brook at a distance.
McLeftout clinches. McLeftout fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Brook takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. McLeftout shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Brook counters by moving into the clinch. Brook tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McLeftout just stands there and leans against the cage. McLeftout lands a knee to the body.
Brook ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brook no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Brook lands an upkick as McLeftout stands over him. Brook throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. McLeftout content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brook looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McLeftout sitting in guard, not really doing much. McLeftout thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brook looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLeftout is one step ahead there. Brook looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McLeftout puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Brook is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McLeftout's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McLeftout's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Can McLeftout hold on?! Brook is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
McLeftout covering up well under a series of strikes from Brook. McLeftout is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Brook gets his way!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Brook.
McLeftout tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Brook throwing strikes here but McLeftout is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Brook goes for an armbar but he's not got it… McLeftout turns into him and now he's in Brook's guard.
McLeftout stands up over Brook, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. McLeftout postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLeftout wants to control from the top but Brook keeps moving. Brook looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLeftout is one step ahead there. Brook throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McLeftout escapes and throws Brook's legs to the side, diving into side control! Brook is trying to improve his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McLeftout throws a right and a left that Brook avoids nicely. McLeftout is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brook has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McLeftout. McLeftout shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Brook counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sunny Brook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie McLeftout. Brook pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McLeftout is keeping the position for now. McLeftout avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McLeftout trying to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Sunny Brook showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
