Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Johanssen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Bitch!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johanssen shoots for a double leg takedown but Bitch sprawls well. He's pushed Johanssen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bitch slips under a jab.
Johanssen checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bitch throws a body punch but Johanssen moves out of range.
Johanssen throws a right and a left that Bitch avoids nicely.
Johanssen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Bitch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bitch wants to control from the top but Johanssen keeps moving.
Bitch drops back looking for a leg! Johanssen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johanssen manages to kick Bitch off! Bitch jumps back into Johanssen's guard.
Johanssen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bitch throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Johanssen's body to avoid the submission. Johanssen has instead reached around Bitch's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Johanssen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). David Johanssen!
