Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarzan Moreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tarzan Moreira told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tarzan Moreira!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aldo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

It looks like Jose Aldo has been cut.
Moreira tries to clinch but Aldo moves out of range.
Moreira lands with a nice body punch.
Aldo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moreira doesn't manage to clinch there - Aldo circles away.
Moreira has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Moreira fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aldo, pushing him back against the cage.
Aldo jumps guard and drags Moreira to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Moreira wanted to stand there but Aldo had control of the position.
Aldo is looking for a triangle but Moreira pushes his legs off easily.
Moreira must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Moreira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jose Aldo.

Aldo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Moreira's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moreira is trying to stand up here but Aldo is controlling him well.

Aldo wants to free his trapped foot but Moreira is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Moreira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Aldo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Moreira thuds his right hand into Aldo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Tarzan Moreira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moreira stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moreira wants it to stay on the feet.
Moreira scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Moreira connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Aldo's hands.

Aldo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moreira manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Aldo is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Aldo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Moreira wants to clinch up but Aldo keeps it at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Aldo.
Aldo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aldo clinches with his opponent.
Moreira lands a right hand.
Moreira lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Aldo tries to pull guard but Moreira holds him up against the cage and eventually Aldo drops back down to his feet.

Moreira digs a right hand into Aldo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Aldo's gas tank.

With the fighters up against the cage, Aldo throws an elbow but misses.

Moreira makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Moreira unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Aldo! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Moreira is unloading with more strikes now! Aldo drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tarzan Moreira!
Tarzan Moreira spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
